Hi! I'm Mabel (she/her), better known as Unorcadox online, and I'd like to welcome you to my little corner of the web! I'm primarily a multimedia artist, known most for my digital photo edits under the Weirdcore subgenre, as well as my music and other writing. I am proudly transfem, disabled, plural, and I tend to be quite polarizing due to these traits, as well as my strong opinions and general refusal to back down and be quiet about things I care about!
In the wake of the general decline of many of the social media platforms I've called home for the entirety of my life online, (Twitter and Tumblr mainly, though Bluesky isn't much better in my opinion,) I've decided to rethink my approach to my digital presence and move the majority of my work into something more individual and resistant to random deplatforming or changes in sitewide vibe. I'm hoping this will be more sustainable, or at least if things do go south, I can move the entirety of it off-site without sacrificing as much as I have been prior.
This blog will be a smorgasboard of politics, theory, musings about my own work and updates on it, some of my writing, things about my personal life, philosophy... really anything goes. I mostly just want to write longform and have a place to compile more aspects of my work and presence such that I can hand it to people in a complete package: a portfolio, a blog, and a link hub all in one!
