Hey there, so it's been about a month and I'd like to be able to say I've been just toiling away on something noteworthy, but truly I haven't. As my sickness winded down, my attention turned from my creative works to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and my life outside of my creative works -- lots of good being done there despite everything, I'm preparing to move rooms which will be a very nice quality of life upgrade for both me and my husband, but as a result... my creative output has basically tanked off a cliff.

This isn't to say I've done nothing for the entire duration of it, I've been slowly tinkering with things and making progress on things I can't quite show yet, but for the most part my life has been very quiet and very exhausted. I think in particular, I've really needed a break from the lifestyle I had been living as a social butterfly who powered through the fatigue like it was nothing, and while it's been better for my health, it has kinda just left me recoiling all month and feeling awful. Trying to find a balancing spot between the near-manic creative drive at my peak and this endless desolate valley of nothingness hasn't been easy.

But, considering this blog hasn't had much buzz, and it hasn't featured my music a single time, I figured now would be a good time to put something together. It's about to be the 1 year anniversary of my current living project, Curator 2: Critic, and I've been very disappointed at the fact I've only gotten 5 songs out over the course of an entire year. It was supposed to be the other big pillar of 2025 alongside The Only Way Out Is Through My Body and whereas that project came together in a week of pure frenzy, this one has been just... lacking the vibe I had when I started it. Well, the good news is that's finally ending! It's been 8 months since the last song, which is dire, but we'll be ending Critic's first year with 6 songs instead of 5... hey, it's something!

Single cover for the song 'I'm in love with transmission tower'.

So here it is! You can listen to "I'm in love with transmission tower" on Bandcamp and YouTube now.

This is my current favorite song from Critic as a project, and my test listeners all love it dearly, I hope you will too. This song will also lead an entire uploaded set of the existing Curator 2 songs as singles in the following days over on YouTube, so check those out as they come out, I'm not going to post about them individually on anything except my current Tumblr. The one year anniversary of Critic is on the 28th, or March 15th, depending on how you count it -- I'm going to be using February 28th going forward. This year will hopefully be a busy year for Critic, so stay tuned for more. Thank you all so much.

Oh, and one more thing. I recommend following me on both of those platforms of course, but I particularly want to point out that fans of my music should follow the Bandcamp in particular, as I use it as a mailing letter for updates on my work that no other platform gets, not even this one! You'll see what was posted there as it comes out throughout the year, but I've already laid out the gist of 2026 over there which you can view now if you follow. Hope you enjoy!
